WRANGLER WESTERN SOCIAL MEDIA
For more than 15 years, Wrangler has relied on FWV to manage all aspects of the brand’s PR initiatives, from media relations and grassroots marketing to sports marketing and product placement. In 2009, FWV took PR a step further by launching Wrangler into the world of social media. Starting with a non-existent Facebook presence in November 2009, Wrangler has now topped 222,000 fans and continues to experience high fan interaction and engagement only a year after launch. Wrangler owns a lion’s share of the social community on Facebook compared to industry competitors (the closest rival currently has less than 10,000 fans). Additionally, sales results have indicated multiple periods of growth directly related to social media efforts. In addition to swiftly putting Wrangler on the map of social networking sites, FWV ultimately proved that social media can not only influence relationships, but ultimately influence sales.
