French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s largest independent public relations, public affairs and brand communications agencies, has won two prestigious national awards and has been named a finalist for a third.
The SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) Awards are given by the Holmes Group and are among the most prestigious honors within the public relations and marketing industry. They recognize the best work in PR, reputation management and brand building. Judges evaluate programs based on a strategic approach to the public relations campaign, breakthrough thinking, integrity and effectiveness.
FWV won top honors in the following categories:
-
Media placement (newspaper) category – FWV secured a front-page, top-fold story in the Wall Street Journal on a revolutionary in vitro fertilization (IVF) method developed by Dr. John Zhang of the New Hope Fertility Center.
-
Public service category – FWV was selected for its work on behalf of the Global Water Foundation (GWF), a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering clean water to the world's neediest communities. FWV has successfully raised the organization's profile worldwide, and has also created a vast international social network among celebrities, supporters, the global health and sanitation communities and potential donors.
Additionally, FWV has been named a national finalist for a third SABRE Award in the cause-related marketing category, as a result of its work on behalf of Wrangler® and its Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP) campaign.
