RALEIGH, N.C. (March 10, 2009) - FWV Distilled - the advertising, graphic design and eMERGING media agency formed in partnership between powerhouse PR firm French/West/Vaughan and creative hot shop Distill - today announced that it has won six local awards for creative work on behalf of its clients. The agency now advances to the regional and national rounds of judging.
At the recent Triangle Ad Club ADDY® Awards competition, FWV Distilled took home one gold, one silver and four bronze awards. The agency won a gold award for work on behalf of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), for designing an eye-catching t-shirt that was used to draw the interest of media and celebrities, encouraging them to attend the 50th anniversary Wrangler National Finals Rodeo - the PRCA's largest event of the year.
FWV Distilled's silver award highlighted a print advertising campaign that was conducted on behalf of bioMérieux. The ads touted PNA Fish, a revolutionary new molecular-based test that allows microbiology labs to quickly and accurately report species identification results for positive blood cultures within hours, instead of days.
Bronze awards recognized FWV Distilled's work on the following projects:
- § A Web site that was designed and launched for Clinexus, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based clinical development consortium that specializes in fostering relationships between clinical study sponsors and investigative sites.
- § A brochure produced for Black Diamond Capital Group (a West Jefferson, N.C.-based commercial lending firm) that was part of a full suite of creative branding materials FWV Distilled developed.
- § A print advertising campaign designed to raise the visibility of Triangle-area dentist Dr. Jodi Foy, DDS, PA, who FWV Distilled branded as "The World's Nicest Dentist." The popular ads featured humorous words of wisdom from Dr. Foy on a variety of dental-related subjects.
- § A custom t-shirt designed for French/West/Vaughan and FWV Distilled employees to wear during a new business pitch.

More than 70 agencies entered the awards, and FWV Distilled was among the top award recipients. The agency's gold winning entry now moves to the regional and national ADDY Awards competitions by virtue of taking top honors in its category. That competition will be judged in June. The ADDY Awards is the largest creative competition in the country with over 60,000 local entries competing in nearly 200 cities.
