Agency Also Announces Two Promotions


RALEIGH, N.C. (October 28, 2008)  - French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation's largest independent public relations, public affairs and brand communications agencies, today announced two new hires and two promotions.


Khaner Walker joins FWV as a senior account executive providing counsel and account service to clients including Albemarle Mental Health Center, the Camden County (N.C.) Board of Commissioners, Dix Visionaries and others. Walker comes to FWV from Durham technology company Motricity where he managed programs including the company's community affairs, internal communications, and public relations initiatives. Additionally, during the 2002 and 2004 election cycles, Walker worked as a media consultant for Campaign Connections creating media plans for candidates for political office while also overseeing production and implementation.


A graduate of North Carolina State University, Walker holds a degree in political science with a minor in Spanish. He is also a graduate of the N.C. Institute of Political Leadership and Leadership Raleigh, a program run by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. 


Marcal Hall joins FWV as the mobile marketing coordinator for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the annual CIAA Mobile Marketing tour, designed to promote the 2009 CIAA Tournament. Hall was a recent intern with the CIAA Conference where he assisted in the student-athlete compliance department and managed multiple projects during the 2008 CIAA Tournament.  Hall graduated from Hampton University with a degree in sports management.


Additionally, FWV today announced two promotions. Jo-Anne Chase has been promoted to account supervisor on the agency's apparel team. Chase, who has been with FWV for more than four years, manages the Wrangler mass market business.


Lauren Childs has been promoted to account executive. Childs supports agency accounts including the International Gemological Institute, the Campbell University School of Law and the North Carolina State University Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
