NATALIE BEST RECEIVES 40 UNDER 40 LEADERSHIP AWARD

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 8, 2007) - French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation's largest independent public relations, public affairs and brand communications agencies, today announced that vice president Natalie Best was named by Triangle Business Journal as a 2007 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards winner. The 40 Under 40 awards program recognizes the Triangle's most influential and highly accomplished young business people.
Natalie was presented with her award at a black tie optional celebration and dinner on April 27, 2007. All of the exceptional honorees were under 40 years of age on April 27, 2007, have attained significant leadership roles in their organizations, achieved a significant career milestone in 2006 and have had substantial involvement in community service.
Natalie joined FWV in 2002, and has played a vital role in the growth of the agency. Her strategic planning and account team management have helped many national and regional brands in various sector groups achieve their business and communications goals. Natalie currently oversees clients including Coca-Cola, the CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association), the Gatlinburg Department of Tourism, Poyner & Spruill and Tweetsie Railroad. In addition, Natalie serves as a model professional and personal mentor to the young workforce at FWV by leading the professional development program at the agency.
Natalie is heavily involved within her community, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education and the University of North Carolina Journalism School Alumni & Friends Association (JAFA). Natalie has also been an active member of the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM) since 1997. She is a native of Southern Pines, N.C. and a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
Triangle Business Journal will publish an in-depth special section on the 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards in its May 25, 2007 edition that will feature interviews with all 40 winners.
