FWV Wins WaterPartners International Account

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 22, 2007) - French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation's largest independent public relations, public affairs and eMERGING media agencies, has been selected by WaterPartners International, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that provides safe drinking water and sanitation to people in developing countries. FWV will develop and execute an integrated public relations and marketing communications campaign to help raise awareness of the world water crisis, and showcase the steps WaterPartners is taking to fight it.

WaterPartners is committed to providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries. Since its inception in 1990, the organization has helped transform the lives of thousands of people across four continents, and today has branch offices in Kenya and India. WaterPartners' headquarters are located in Kansas City, MO. By forging partnerships with carefully-screened partner organizations, WaterPartners empowers local communities to develop and sustain solutions to meet their own water needs.

"We were seeking an agency that not only offered multiple disciplines and a proven track record of success, but one that had extensive relevant experience and knowledge about the worldwide water crisis," said Gary White, Executive Director of WaterPartners. "With its innovation, broad capabilities and strategic approach, we are confident in FWV's ability to implement the goals and objectives we have for WaterPartners International."

FWV's award-winning pro bono work with the Global Water Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering clean water to the world's neediest communities, was a contributing factor in securing the WaterPartners account. FWV President and CEO Rick French said the agency will continue to work on behalf of the Foundation as the two organizations hope to partner on future clean water initiatives.

"The mission of WaterPartners International is a cause that our firm believes strongly in, and I am confident that our expertise in this area will help us further the organization's position as a nationally recognized charity and steward of global health," French said. "We look forward to helping this respected organization accomplish its goal of creating a day when everyone in the world has access to safe drinking water and proper sanitary conditions."
