RALEIGH, N.C. (February 6, 2007) – French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s largest independent public relations, public affairs and brand communications agencies, has been selected by the North Carolina Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association to provide public relations support that will complement the existing outreach and lobbying activities of the Association.
The North Carolina Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association is a non-profit trade organization for 35 licensed beer and wine distribution companies throughout the state of North Carolina. It was established in 1936 to promote and protect the general business interests of beer and wine distributors in North Carolina. The Association and its individual members serve as a vital link in the ongoing quest for responsibility within the alcohol industry.
“FWV possesses comprehensive knowledge of not only the dynamic of our state, but of the industry as a whole,” said Dean Plunkett, Executive Director for the North Carolina Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association. “The resources and insight that this acclaimed agency can provide will be invaluable as we move forward.”
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with an organization that supports responsible beer and wine consumption in North Carolina, and makes such an important contribution to the economy of our state,” said FWV President and CEO Rick French. “Our extensive beer, wine and spirits experience and clear understanding of the industry will play a vital role as we help the Association communicate to its many constituency groups across the state.”
