FWV Expands Healthcare Practice

FWV to Support Launch of Cardiac Supplement Company

RALEIGH, N.C. (February 20, 2007) – French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s largest independent public relations, public affairs and brand communications agencies, has been named public relations agency-of-record for Cardiac Wellness Supplements. FWV will provide national media relations services for the company, focusing on its Wellcor™ line of nutritional supplements.

Cardiac Wellness Supplements was founded by Lee A. Surkin, M.D., a Board Certified cardiologist with a Master’s of Science in human nutrition. The company focuses exclusively on products that can help optimize cardiovascular health. Dr. Surkin practices both traditional and integrative approaches to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. He developed Cardiac Wellness Supplements to provide a progressive approach to heart health. Dr. Surkin found that many of his patients were asking questions about nutrition, and, in particular, about natural supplements. With his broad understanding of nutrients, Dr. Surkin researched and developed a line of cardiac health supplements called Wellcor™.

“We are excited to work with Dr. Surkin to redefine the way people think about their cardiovascular health,” said FWV President & CEO Rick French. “Our extensive work in the healthcare arena makes FWV a natural fit to handle this assignment.”

Dr. Surkin was referred to FWV by Eye Integrated Communications, Inc., a Greenville, N.C.-based advertising agency that is also working on other components of the launch.
