Building the new fwv-us.com
So, here it is. The new FWV site. Re-doing these things is never easy (“the cobbler and his children” comes to mind), but we hope you’ve taken some time to wander around and like what you see.

As online experiences are becoming less about destinations and more about dynamic conversations, we had to rethink how we wanted to present ourselves on the web. It meant pairing down the content to the essentials and ultimately letting the site serve as a springboard for digital engagement and interactivity. This interactivity is encouraged by integrating social media channels more coherently into the site. This also helps to keep the site feeling fresh, which encourages repeat visitors
The site was built on a dedicated CMS (content management system), which makes updating content much more efficient and less dependent on a particular person with a particular skillset. Now any one of us with decent web skills (and admin access of course) can update the site in a blink of the eye. We also made good use of HTML 5 and jQuery integration, to ensure that those of us on mobile devices would have the same, rich user experience as everyone else.
We hope the new site gives you a glimpse of our personality – and our personalities – at French West Vaughan. We’d love to hear your feedback, so join the conversation here on social soup, on Facebook, or on Twitter.
Two things we never lack around FWV are thoughts and opinions. We invite you to dive in and see what we have to say about our industry — and the world.
