Raleigh-based agency adds athlete development company to its growing sports and entertainment division

RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 10, 2013) – B2G Sports, a premier high school football training and development organization, announced today that it has selected Raleigh-based French/West/Vaughan (FWV) as its public relations and marketing agency of record.  FWV will work with B2G to secure sponsorship opportunities and provide media relations support for the organization’s programs and events.

“There has been tremendous growth in the popularity of elite high school football prospects and offseason skill events,” said FWV Chairman and CEO Rick French. “B2G’s success is a demonstration of the increased emphasis on high school football training and showcase events.  We believe B2G has an outstanding future potential and we look forward to working with them to meet their goals as a growing organization.” 

B2G Sports was co-founded in 1999 by current Executive Directors Ron Allen and Henry Bell.  The company first organized an elite football camp for the top skilled players in California.  Over time, B2G has expanded to 15 events nationally, headlined by the West Coast Bowl, 7-on-7 tournaments and elite football camps.  In 2014, B2G will host 30 events nationally and projects to work with more than 10,000 high school athletes.

The West Coast Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at the Redondo Union High School Stadium and will feature nearly 100 of the top high school senior prospects in the country.  B2G’s Elite 7-on-7 Tournament will host regional qualifiers from across the nation with a National Championship in Los Angeles in April.  The organization will also run a series of elite camps in multiple locations during the summer months of 2014.

During the 2013 college football season, 143 former B2G players were on rosters of 31 Division I programs across the country.  Additionally, 21 B2G alumni appeared on opening day rosters in the NFL, including Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

“B2G helped prepare me for college and the NFL with a wide range of skill development and training,” said Sherman.  “The values of hard work, accountability and self-confidence are things I continue to take with me in my professional career.”

B2G joins sports properties such as US Speedskating and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (“SWAC”), as well as athletic apparel brands Peter Millar, NATHAN and SKINS. The agency also represents All-Pro defensive tackle Geno Atkins of the Cincinnati Bengals, free safety Ryan Mundy of the New York Giants, starting defensive lineman Chris Canty of the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and Orlando Magic forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis.
